Educator of the Year

ICE Educator of the Year Awards

Each year, the members of the ICE Executive Board approve the winners of several awards that are designed to recognize the outstanding efforts of ICE members. Later this year, you will have a chance to nominate deserving colleagues for one of two Technology Educator of the Year awards.

There are two categories for the annual Educator of the Year awards:

  • ICE Educator of the Year Award - Classroom teachers
  • ICE Outstanding Technology Using Educator Award - Media Specialists, technology coordinators and school administrators

The ICE Educator of the Year Award is designated for PreK-12 Classroom Teachers.
The ICE Outstanding Technology Using Educator Award is designated for Media Specialists, Technology Coordinators and Directors, Curriculum Directors, Instructional Technology Coordinators, and College/University Staff and Faculty.

Each award winner will receive a commemorative plaque, paid conference fees for ICE Conference, and a one-year's free membership to ICE. Awards are presented annually at the Illinois Computing Educators Conference at Pheasant Run Resort and Convention Center in St. Charles, Illinois.

If you have questions about this program, you may contact Charlene Chausis, ICE Educator of the Year Committee Chair, at cchausis@iceberg.org

Nominations for the 2014 ICE Technology Educator Awards will open in September of 2013,  Nominations will be accepted until November 18, 2013.  Nominations received after November 18 will not be considered.  Meanwhile, you are welcome to refer to our nomination form from the Educator of the Year 2013 selection process and consider which of your colleagues might be the perfect candidate to receive this honor!
