2013 ICE Scholarship Program
Application Process Now Open - Deadline April 1, 2013
Scholarship Categories:
- ICE Member pursuing an advanced degree or taking additional for-credit college courses
- ICE Member planning to attend professional development workshops and conferences. Please note that travel, hotel, and meal expenses are NOT included in any ICE Scholarships awarded in this category.
- Son or daughter of an ICE Member who is pursuing a degree in Education. He/she must be full-time student attending a college or university during the 2013-2014 school year and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of education.
Who May Apply?
Categories 1 & 2: You must be an ICE Member in good standing as of April 1, 2013, and through December 31, 2013, in order to be considered for an ICE Scholarship.
Category 3: If you are applying for your son or daughter, you must be an ICE member in good standing as of April 1, 2013, and through December 31, 2013. You must be the legal guardian of your child in order to submit an ICE Scholarship for him/her. The child must be a full-time student during the 2013-2014 school year.
May I apply in more than one Category?
Yes, you may apply in any or all categories in the ICE Scholarship Program. However, no more than one award in Categories 1 and 2 will be granted for any person applying. It is possible though for you to receive a scholarship (Category 1 or 2) and your son or daughter to receive a scholarship in Category 3 in the same year.
What if I want to apply for more than one scholarship?
A separate and complete application is required for each scholarship category for which you may apply.
What is the time period for the Scholarship Awards Program?
The ICE Scholarship awards can be applied to educational pursuits from July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014.
Summer and Fall 2013 Workshops and Classes:
You may apply for a scholarship for a workshop or class that you plan to take in the Summer of 2013 or Fall of 2013. Scholarships will be awarded in May. This applies to Categories 1 and 2 only. For Category 3, your son or daughter must be enrolled full-time in a college or university and pursuing a degree in education in the Fall of 2013 in order to receive a scholarship award.
Deadline:
All applications must be submitted by April 1, 2013.
Selection of Winners:
The ICE Scholarship Committee will review all applications and select the recommended winners. Final approval of award winners will be made by the ICE Executive Board. All decisions of the ICE Executive Board are final.
Awards:
Scholarship winners will be contacted by May 31, 2013. If you are facing a tight deadline for summer workshop or course registration, please inform us.
