Transforming Education through Technology. THE Journal is dedicated to informing and educating K-12 senior-level district and school administrators, technologists, and tech-savvy educators within districts, schools, and classrooms to improve and advance the learning process through the use of technology. Launched in 1972, THE Journal was the first magazine to cover education technology.

eSchool News is both a monthly print newspaper and an online newsletter that provides information necessary to help K-20 decision-makers successfully use technology and the internet to transform North America's schools and colleges and achieve their educational goals. This is a great resource to read about content-rich sources of grants and other attainable funding for their special programs and plans, rich resources for 21st century skills, professional development training opportunities, free and inexpensive finds including standards-based lessons, inexpensive materials and help with research and assessment. ICE provides printed versions twice each year and sends out the HTML version twice each month to all members.

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) offers highly engaging Webinars over the course of every school year. Each Webinar will feature a Web 2.0 tool or innovative technology of wide appeal to ISTE members and non-members alike. ISTE webinars will highlight practical tools and strategies to help educators most effectively improve the educational experience and capture value from new and existing technology investments.

The Library of Congress site is an outstanding source of primary documents, photographs, maps, and many other resources that can be used by teachers at all grade levels. Visit the LOC site to find ready-to-use classroom materials and professional development curriculum resources. Be sure to look at the sections titled "Lesson Plans," "Collection Connections," and "Presentations and Activities."

Education Week is published by a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization whose primary mission is to help raise the level of awareness and understanding among professionals and the public of important issues in American education. This free online journal covers local, state, and national news and issues from preschool through the 12th grade.

This online community of nearly 15,000 educators is designed specifically to support members in creating personal learning networks. Recipes4Success is a subscription service that provides a comprehensive set of online resources designed to help infuse technology into your curriculum. Recipes4Success supports technology integration, providing tutorials and just-in-time references for common classroom software titles. These materials also work well as the foundation for professional development classes and training sessions.
